Since its inception in the spring of 2020, Let’s Interpret has achieved the following outcomes…
- 36 women who have successfully completed the level 3 “First Steps to Public Service Interpretation” course
- 13 women who have successfully completed the level 3 “Introduction to Health Interpretation” course
- 12 local projects and organisations who have benefitted from our members’ linguistic skills
- 29 women who have benefitted from work experience opportunities with these organisations
- 3 women registered as self-employed interpreters/translators
Further outcomes that our members have reported include:
- an increase in self-confidence
- a wider social and support network
- a renewed belief in their capabilities
- a better awareness of opportunities in their community for personal and professional development
